Palliative Care in South Dakota: Your Voice Matters

Wednesday, February 13, 2019 10:30am - 12:00pm

Palliative Care in South Dakota: Your Voice Matters

Location: Prairie West Library, 7630 W. 26th Street

Do you or a loved one have a serious illness? Are you a caregiver for someone living with a serious illness?

This focus group seeks input from patients, caretivers, and family members to discuss palliative, or supportive, care needs. Avera McKennan and Regional Health have partnered to create the South Dakota Palliative Care Network, which plans to use the information learned the focus group to educate the public about palliative care services and how to access these services.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and have a desire to share palliative care experiences as a patient, family member or caregiver. This session will last 90 minutes, and refreshments are provided.

For more information or to register, please contact Beth Walstrom, Project Coordinator, at 605-688-4730 or by email at beth.walstrom@sdstate.edu.

The group is limited to 12 participants.
