Stay Strong: Functional Fitness

Location: Midco Aquatic Center Warm Water Pool

This 60-minute Warm Water Pool class is designed to assist you in improving your strength and cardiovasclar health. This light- to moderate-intensity class format combines body resistance and water exercise equipment with light-to-moderstate aerobic exercise. During the 60 minutes of instruction, class participants will strengthen their major muscle groups as well as improve range of motion of all muscles and joints. Improvement of flexibility, balance, and stamina can be expected. The movements of cardio activity are different for every class in order for your body to receive optimal benefit for your physical health. Ages 18+. $45.00 per series. Tot Lot Supervised Playground

Tot Lot Supervised Playground

Location: Laurel Oak Park (shelter)

Tot Lot is the cool place to be for kids ages 6 and younger!

Kids, bring your adult along and see what you can do together for fun! Our elementary school teacher staff will have weekly themes to encourage free play combined with simple crafts and games to get you moving.

This program is not intended as a child care program. Children ages 6 and younger must be supervised by someone at least 16 years old. the ratio of children 6 years and younger may not exceed five children per adult.

This playground program is an outdoor program and is weather‑dependent. If there is inclement weather, the program will be canceled for the day. ​

Girls’ Basketball Skills Camp

Girls’ Basketball Skills Camp

Location: Morningside Community Center, 2400 South Bahnson Ave

Improve your basketball skills over the summer at our two-day skills camp. Work on dribbling, passing, and shooting with daily drills. We will end each day with contests. Leave with things you can continue working on to make you a better player next season.

Registration for this event is $10 per person. In order to register, go to www.siouxfalls.org/parks and use id#190065 or call (605) 367-8222. Registration deadline is 5 days in advance.

Power 40

Location: Midco Aquatic Center 50 Meter Pool

 This class will have you swimming laps in a variety of different ways. Power 40 is designed not only for beginners, but those who wish to take their workout to an extreme level. A vigorous format includes equipment as participants swim the full length of the pool (25 yards). Come join us for this power-packed class to help you become the new you!

Road Races

Road Races

Location: Spencer Park

Join the fun and competition of Monday night road races. Races will be 3,000 and 5,000 meters. They will follow the Greenway recreation trail.
