The clinics will specialize in sprints, starts, and jumps. You may participate for one day or all three days. This is a great way to sharpen your skills in track and field. No registration required. The clinics are free.

This 60-minute Warm Water Pool class is designed to assist you in improving your strength and cardiovasclar health. This light- to moderate-intensity class format combines body resistance and water exercise equipment with light-to-moderstate aerobic exercise. During the 60 minutes of instruction, class participants will strengthen their major muscle groups as well as improve range of motion of all muscles and joints. Improvement of flexibility, balance, and stamina can be expected. The movements of cardio activity are different for every class in order for your body to receive optimal benefit for your physical health. Ages 18+. $45.00 per series. Are you new to T-Ball or looking for some extra practice this summer? Outdoor Campus and Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation will be providing an opportunity for youth ages 7-12 to explore the sport of archery in a safe and encouraging environment. During this activity, you will be introduced to the basics of a sport that many individuals enjoy well into adulthood. Participation is free and all necessary supplies will be provided on a first come first serve basis. An adult to child ratio of 5:1 should be observed.

Hiking not only provides the physical relief of other exercise choices, hiking in nature has been shown to be a powerful anxiety and stress reliever for people of al ages. Bring sturdy shoes and an adventurous spirit to partake in this summer solstice hike. Recommended for ages 6+. Must be able to hike one mile on rocky and sometimes uneven terrain. Stepping Out for Diabetes: Walk, Learn, Be Healthy

Location: Sertoma Park/Outdoor Campus

Join the South Dakota Diabetes Coalition for the first annual Stepping Out for Diabetes: Walk, Learn, Be Healthy activities walk at Sertoma Park and the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls.

This event is FREE and open to all ages. Individuals with diabetes and those who support them are encouraged to attend. This event will be held rain or shine.

The schedule of events is as follows:

  • 8-8:30 am - Registration
  • 9 am - Event Kickoff
  • 10 am - Health Fair
  • 11:30 am - Door Prize Drawings

T-ball

Location: Morningside Park 2400 South Bahnson Avenue

Are you new to T-Ball or looking for some extra practice this summer? Come to this introductory class on T-ball where your little one can learn to play the sport or practice the skills that they already have! We will be practicing throwing, hitting, and fielding. If your little one has a glove, please bring it, but it's not required.

Summer Sun and Stretch

Yoga inspired stretches. Head to toe stretches to increase range of motion and encourage better flexibility. Body maintance and mechanics under the sun. We will meet in the parking lot. Please bring your own yoga mat. Registration required #150014. Ages 16+. $45 per series
