Snowshoe-Orienteering

Location: Outdoor Campus-East

Learn how to walk in snowshoes and how to read a map to find selected points using our permanent orienteering course with a few challenges to keep things fun! Dress for the weather and bring on the snow! Class will not cancel because of lack of snow-we just won't be snowshoeing. All ages, recommended 5 and up, youth must be with an adult. Pick only one date/time.

Frosty Frolics Fun Run/Walk

Frosty Frolics Fun Run/Walk

Location: Spencer Park

Join the fun and competition of this frosty morning run. Races will be 5K and 10K. Runners will follow the path along with Big Sioux River. turnaround points will be noted along the route. Runners who are registered before December 18 will receive a T-Shirt. Runner check-in and day of registration will be available starting at 8:00 AM. Registration required: 370005. Frosty Frolics Snowshoe Stroll

Location: Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum

We are partnering with the Outdoor Campus to offer a snowshoeing activity that will teach you the fundamental of the sport and allow you to spend time outdoors in the winter at the beautiful Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum. The number of snowshoes available is limited to please sign up early for these limited space tours. Group walks will leave every hour starting at 11:00 AM with the last group departing at 2:00 PM. Frosty Frolics Fatbike Ride

Location: Tomar Park

Partnering with Falls Area Singletrack (FAST) and Falls Area Bicyclists (FAB). Bring your bike out and meet at the Tomar Park Parking lot. We will ride to Fall Park weather permitting. FAST and FAB will provide a frosty frozen treat at the end of the ride. Free, no registration required.

Location: Scheels IcePlex

Come ice skate and socialize with your friends at our teen cosmic skate. This event will be held at the Scheels IcePlex and will be a fun-filled night of ice skating, grooving to a DJ, and playing games on the ice. Registration and payment will take place on the night of the event at the Scheels IcePlex. Music provided. No registration required. Ages 13-18, $5 for entry and skate rental.

Try a variety of water workouts and see what class fits into your workout routine. Join us in 20-minute intervals to get a sampling of the water fitness classes offered at the Midco Aquatic® Center.

Simple changes in personal tempo, range-of-motion and length of levers, any class can be tailored to your fitness level. Get the workout you want with water fitness classes. It’s fun, low-impact, and yet water fitness classes are suitable for every age and fitness level, from beginning exercisers through elite athletes.
