The Lake Lorraine Farmers Market is entering its third season in 2021 and is the only farmers market in western Sioux Falls. Our vendors sell a variety of goods, from plants to seasonal vegetables to meat to baked goods and more! Different activities are also planned throughout the market season with some vendors making special appearances. Weekly from 4-7 p.m. on the east side of the lake. Parking is available in the lot south of Hobby Lobby.

Location: Falls Park

The Festival of Cultures is an annual event where all cultures come together at Falls Park for a fun day of celebration! Help celebrate the diversity in Sioux Falls with live entertainment, delicious food trucks, and engaging and educational workshops! Enjoy live ethnic music, dance, and art while learning how to make traditional food and crafts. This family friendly event is free to attend. We hope to see you there!

Colon cancer can be detected early or even prevented with proper screening. During this free virtual event, you’ll learn about colorectal cancer prevention and screening options.

Those eligible can get a free, at-home colorectal cancer screening kit mailed to them, thanks to the generosity of the Scott Bauer Foundation.

Celebrate National Cancer Survivor Month with Kat Thomsen, RDN, for a virtual cooking demonstration and discussion about how healthy eating can help you live well after cancer. Participants will learn how to prepare three delicious summer recipes and why they are beneficial.

Come to Lake Lorraine for a walk and a talk with Dr. Tricia Merrigan from the Avera Cancer Institute. This event pairs exercise and cancer education - two important pieces of prevention. Dr. Merrigan specializes in breast surgery and will be talking about the importance of breast cancer screenings.

Park on Westlake Drive for easy access and meet at the northwest corner of Lake Lorraine.
