Move Well Sioux Falls
Jul 30, 2018
Have you ever wished you could try an activity like pilates or zumba before committing to a series of classes? Or, have you ever tried playing pickleball? These are just a few examples of activities you can try on August 11 as part of the first annual Move Well Sioux Falls event!
Come join us from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at Riverdale Park! You can try any combination of more than 80 sampler classes lasting 15, 20, or 30 minutes. In addition to pilates, zumba and pickleball, there will be activities like toning and stretching, martial arts, yoga, cardio workouts, traditional Native games, yard games, a special kids area and more. This is a FREE event, and all ages are welcome, so spread the word!
You can start the morning a little earlier by participating in The Blue Move 5K Run/Walk along the bike trail, starting and ending at Riverdale Park. There is a $30 registration fee, but all proceeds will be used to help fund colonoscopies for underserved patients at Falls Community Health. On-site registration begins at 8 a.m., with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. Hurry and sign up, registration increases on August 6!
Another Opportunity to Live Well:
August 5-11 will be Live Well Week all around town. Businesses, gyms and other organizations are invited to offer promotions, discounts or other special events that promote healthy lifestyles.
