The Big Squeeze Featured in National Health Publication

The Nation's Health, a publication of the American Public Health Association, features The Big Squeeze blood pressure initiative in its February issue. The Nation's Health focuses on news for public health professionals and policymakers at the federal, state and local level.

The Big Squeeze appears in the State & Local section, highlighting this community partnership and its goal to raise awareness of high blood pressure.

"We are just thrilled that The Big Squeeze has received this national attention," said Jill Franken, Public Health Director for the City of Sioux Falls. "This project is an outstanding example of community collaboration, and this initiative is already demonstrating its value as an effective way to educate residents about high blood pressure and to encourage them to take action. We are truly proud of The Big Squeeze and grateful to the many partners that have been part of its success."
