Sioux Falls Community Gardens

The application for the 2025 season is CURRENTLY closed.

The application for new gardeners is closed and will open in January. Please check back for details on the 2025 season.

The Sioux Falls Community Garden program allows gardeners to rent garden plots approximately 200 square feet in size. Each plot has a rental fee of $20. New gardeners will only be allowed one plot per household.

This effort is led by the SDSU Extension Master Gardeners with support from the City of Sioux Falls, private businesses, churches and more than 250 individual gardeners in seven different gardens across Sioux Falls.

All gardeners need to review and follow the Community Garden Guidelines.

New gardeners (no plot in 2024) should complete the online application and will receive notification by April 15 if a plot is available. Returning gardeners (had a plot in 2024) should contact their team lead about participating in the 2025 season.

Questions should be directed to the Community Garden Coordinator by emailing siouxfalls.center@sdstate.edu or by calling 605-782-3290.

Updates for the 2025 Season
1. There will no longer be garden plots at Lincoln Elementary through SDSU Extension
2. All new gardeners will be limited to 1 plot per household address
