Feel Well

To feel well, we need to eat well and move well….but we also have to take care of our mind and our spirit. When we balance our physical health and emotional health, we enjoy a greater sense of well-being.

Chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, cancer and diabetes cause 7 in 10 deaths in the United States. Many chronic diseases have risk factors that we can control. These risk factors include lack of physical activity, poor nutrition, tobacco use and excessive alcohol consumption.

Mental health and physical health are closely connected. For example, depression or anxiety may affect a person’s ability to eat well or exercise. Or, problems with physical health, such as a chronic disease, can have a serious impact on mental health and decrease a person’s ability to participate in treatment and recovery.

Take care of your mind and body, and that will help you Feel Well. Eat healthy meals and snacks, exercise regularly, get enough sleep and find positive ways to deal with stress.
