Walking Program

Walking Program

Location: Morningside Community Center, 2400 South Bahnson Avenue

Walking is one of the best ways to stay healthy! Lap counters are available for checkout so you can log your daily progress. We will help track your miles each week. This walking program is designed for adults age 55 and over, and is available Monday-Friday. 

This is a FREE program, and no registration is required.

Location: Morningside Community Center, 2400 S. Bahnson Avenue

This quick 20-minute class will focus on core muscles. Learn new moves to improve your fitness. Join us after the morning walking program for a quick toning session. This is a FREE event.

Registration is required at www.siouxfalls.org/parks using Class #350009 or by calling (605) 367-8222. Registration closes five business days in advance.

American Public Health Association 1 Billion Steps Challenge

Location: Sioux Falls

Join us in getting physically active this year! We have joined the American Public Health Association's 1 Billion Steps Challenge. This challenge runs from January 1 to April 8. The 1 Billion Steps Challenge is a chance to count your steps and get active in 2018. Join our team as we attempt to Live Well and get as many steps as we can. New Year Challenge!

New Year Challenge!

Location: Midco® Aquatic Center

Looking for a challenges? We have one for you! We want to help start out this new year by taking your fitness to the next level! All through the month of January, the Midco®  Aquatic Center will be challenging you to walk more laps in the Current Channel and swim as many laps as you can in the 50 Meter Pool. The top three participants who have the most laps by the end of the month, win a prize! New year, new you! Present an active swim pass or pay the daily admission rate.
