Did you know that you brain has a specialized region just for navigating the environment around you? Come exercise this essential organ while learning the art of reading a map and compass. Studies show that individuals who understand how to use a map and compass have an increased level of brain function and are more likely to feel connected to their surroundings. After an introduction to the fundamentals of reading a maps and using a compass, participants can test their skills by completing a short orienteering course located along the hiking trails at Great Bear Recreation Park.
The cost for this activity is $5 per person.
