FREE Walking Program for 55+

Location: Morningside Community Center, 2400 S. Bahnson Avenue
Morningside Community Center's FREE walking program, which runs Monday-Friday from 8-10 a.m., is a great way to stay healthy and active in a climate-controlled environment. Lap counters are available for checkout so you can log your daily progress. Come for some exercise and socialize along the way! No registration required.
Monday-Friday from March 1 through May 13.

Stand Strong: A Matter of Balance Falls Prevention Program (8 sessions)
Thursday, March 24, 2022 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Location: Active Generations, 2300 W. 46th Street
This award-winning program is designed to teach practical strategies to manage falls and increase activity levels. The class meets for 8 Mondays, from March 24-May 12, 2022.
Participants will learn to:
- Set goals for increasing activity
- Reudce fall risks at home
- Exercise to increase strength and balance
- Safely get up if you fall
Who should attend?
- Anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength
- Anyone who has fallen in the past
- Anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns
