Stretch Out and Tone Up

Location: Kuehn Community Center, 2801 S Valley View Rd

This class focuses on conditioning, strength, endurance, and stretch components. Equipment may be used. You'll develop increased flexibility and range of motion through a total body workout. What is the kickboxing craze all abut? Aqua Kick combines a variety of kicks, jabs, crosses, hooks, uppercuts, and core exercises in a fun, high energy class! Held in the shallow end of the pool, Aqua Kick provides an effective total body aerobic workout with less stress on the joints. Combinations will help keep your mind engaged while you tone, shape, and sculpt your body. Registration required #910001. Ages 18+

First Aid, CPR, and AED

Location: Kuehn Community Center, 2801 S Valley View Rd

This class course trains in basic first aid, adult CPR, and AED skills to meet OSHA requirements. This is not the CPR-required course for healthcare providers such as EMTs, nursing, physicians, etc. American Safety and Health Institute two year certification and student manual included. Participants should bring a lunch for the 30 minute lunch break period. Registration required #150025. Ages 16+. $65 per person.

Storytime Trail

Storytime Trail

Location: Arrowhead Park, 1710 S. River Bluff Rd

Children will explore the nature around them as they partake in a storytime with Siouxland Libraries, hike through Arrowhead Park, and complete a simple nature craft. Over the course of these two sessions, your child will further develop their powers of observation and creativity by exploring a natural environment.

If you are planning on competing in the Youth Triathlon, or just want to learn what it's all about, then this event is for you. Practice your swimming, biking, and running skills while getting tips on how to improve. Bring your swimsuit, towel, bike, helmet, and running shoes each day. Tuesday's class will focus on swimming and transitioning to bike. Wednesday's class will focus on bike etiquette, riding the bike route, and transitioning to the run. Two-Wheeler Dealer will be at the training on Wednesday to help with free basic bike tune-ups. Thursday's class will focus on transitioning from the bike and running the race route.

There is a fee of $20 for this training.

Basketball Skills Competition

Location: Kenny Anderson Community Center 3701 East Third Street

Are you lokking for somewhere to show off your basketball skills? Looking for individual competition? Well look no further! Participants will compete in the Hoop Shot, Free Throw, and Hot Spot Contest. Contestants will be divided into four age divisions: 8-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-17. Contestants will also be split by gender. Champions in each age division, for both boys and girls, will recieve a champion t-shirt and bragging right! Registration is required #193001.

Toddler Sports

Toddler Sports

Location: Kuehn Community Center, 2801 S Valley View Rd

Enjoy a fun-filled hour learning and playing basketball, soccer and tee-ball. Your little one will work on developing key motor and teamwork skills, while having fun! All supplies and equipment needed will be provided. Both sessions will meet in the Kuehn Community Center and walk to the grass to the north of the parking lot. Registration Required 

The cost for Toddler Sports is $5 per class. Registration closes five business days in advance.
